Inherent Vice No.2: LGBTQIA+ Activism in Heritage

No.2 explores the intersections between queer and activist identities and presents some radical approaches to human rights in the sector.

It aims to “queer” - that is, to question and destabilise - some of the more fixed ideas about our roles within heritage and to empower us to be active participants in advocacy.

The issue includes an opening piece by guest author Stuart Feather, an original member of the Gay Liberation Front. Stuart attended meetings from the organisation’s beginnings through to its last in 1974. He is an activist, artist, and author of the political biography, Blowing the Lid: Gay Liberation, Sexual Politics and Radical Queens.
